Thomas “Jerry” Nichols – Captain (100 ton GRT license) and Master Instructor

Jerry is the Captain of the Miss Mackenzie and Master Instructor for LDC.  He’s been working on the water since the 80’s (at the Virginia Water Control Board).  Jerry started diving with LDC in 2001.

After twenty plus years of coaching youth sports (wrestling, soccer, baseball/softball, and field hockey), Jerry decided to turn to the professional side of diving.

Jerry is currently a Master Instructor and can teach the following:

Recreational- Open Water Diver

Specialty Courses- Boat Diving, Deep Diving, Dry-Suit Diving, Enriched Air Nitrox, Navigation, Night and Limited Visibility, Perfect Buoyancy, Science of Diving, SCUBA Skills Update, Search and Recovery, Stress and Rescue, and Wreck

Professional- Dive Guide, Dive Master, and Assistant Instructor

If Jerry’s not on the boat or teaching, you will find him out riding his motorcycle/bike, or traveling with his family.
