This program provides the knowledge and experience required to independently plan and conduct limited decompression dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters, using nitrox mixtures up to 50%.

Academic

This program provides the knowledge and experience required to independently plan and conduct limited decompression dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters, using nitrox mixtures up to 50%. This entry-level program introduces you to the Extended Range training techniques and skills, and can be completed wearing a standard single-cylinder equipment configuration. You will earn the SSI Extended Range Nitrox Diving certification after completing this program.

Required Equipment

You must have a complete Total Dive System appropriate for a single gas switch, non-accelerated decompression diving. Also must have a one stage and stage regulator that are oxygen clean. (same goes for a sidemount system)

EXTENDED RANGE NITROX DIVING

Prerequisites

  • Must be at least 16 years old with 24 or more logged dives.
  • Must have Nitrox certification and Deep Diving certification or equivalent with other agencies.
  • If you are diving sidemount, you must also have a sidemount certification.

What’s Not Included

You must complete 4 open water training dives with your instructor, these are not included. Dives 1&2 will be in recreational limits,  3&4 must be completed with staged decompression on the dives.

What do I need to get started?

Register online at DiveSSI.com and choose Lynnhaven Diver Center as your training center. Then call or come in to pay for your course, once payment is made we will unlock the online learning for you to complete before coming in for your classroom sessions. You can also schedule the classroom session at the time.
