Do you have an interest in scuba diving and want to try it out?

Then splash into a Try Scuba session at LDC! Our experienced dive professionals will work with you in the comfort of our on-site heated pool as they give you a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. This course does not certify you as a SCUBA diver, but it does give you the opportunity to “get your fins wet” and prepare you for our enrolling in one of our Open Water Diver courses.  The cost of your Try Scuba will be applied to your enrollment of your Open Water Diver course!

Valentine’s Day Try Scuba

Now through February 14th, we are offering a BOGO Try Scuba.  Experience Scuba Diving with your loved one, best friends, or have an adventurous first date. Let’s go diving!

Academic

The SSI Try Scuba program is your introduction to the underwater world. This entry-level program gives you the opportunity to experience the underwater world, in a confined water setting. You will earn the SSI Try Scuba recognition rating.

Required Equipment

  • Swimsuit
  • Towel
  • Personal snorkel gear if you have it (mask, snorkel, fins)
  • Completed Medical Form (can be found here)
  • A smile and positive attitude!

Prerequisites

  • You must be able to complete the medical form before we can get you on SCUBA (this may require a physician’s note)

  • Price for the course is $75
  • 1 hour session in the pool with a Dive Professional
  • Digital Learning Material for Try Scuba

  • Try Scuba digital recognition card

What do I need to get started?

Register online at DiveSSI.com and choose Lynnhaven Dive Center as your training center. Then come into the shop or call us to select and pay for your courses. Once payment is made we will unlock the course so the digital learning material can be completed. This is also when we can schedule your Try Scuba experience.
