This program allows limited penetration within the daylight zone into wrecks with an overhead environment.
Academic
This program allows limited penetration within the daylight zone into wrecks with an overhead environment. The training required for this type of diving is overhead buoyancy control, new finning techniques, optional laying safety line and the proper use of a light. The program can be completed wearing a single cylinder with either a pony cylinder or H/Y valve. You will earn the SSI Advanced Wreck Diving Specialty certification after completing this program.
Required Equipment
- Wreck reel, SMB, finger spool, and total dive system
- If you do not own your own Total Dive System yet, you really should for this course. Comfort and knowledge of your gear is important, especially in confined areas such as wreck diving. The better you know your gear, the safer you will be.
Prerequisites
- Must be Open Water certified and at least 15 years old

What do I need to get started?
Register at DiveSSI.com and select Lynnhaven Dive Center as your training center. Then call or come in to pay for and schedule your class. The online learning will be opened for you at that time.
