About DEEP DIVING
This program provides the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortably dive beyond 60 feet.
Academic
Many exciting dive sites are located in deeper water. Without proper training, this kind of diving puts you at risk. The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will give you the ability to safely and comfortably plan and conduct dives beyond 18 meters, and is a prerequisite for some advanced training. You will earn the SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification. after completing this program
Required Equipment
- A Total Dive System is highly recommended
- A proper dive computer
- Having Nitrox certification is also useful for extended dive times and shorter required surface intervals
Prerequisites
- Must be Open Water certified
- At least 15 years old

What do I need to get started?
Register online at DiveSSI.com and choose Lynnhaven Diver Center as your training center. Then call or come in to pay for your course, once payment is made we will unlock the online learning for you to complete before coming in for your classroom sessions. You can also schedule the classroom session at the time.
